Why hire a color consultant?

Kansas City Interior and Exterior Paint Color Consulting Services
A color consultation can make your life easier, decreasing fear and indecision. It can prevent costly mistakes, and give you peace of mind. Each situation is unique and gets personalized attention. A certain paint color may look good in a magazine or at a friend’s house, but may not be appropriate for your home. Color Sense Consulting chooses colors that fit your space.

All colors have undertones which may not be apparent to most people. Yet, being able to identify undertones is a great asset when choosing colors. If you have not been happy with your paint color choices in the past, it was probably because the undertones in the room were not the same.

Popular neutrals like beige and gray have many variations. Beige may have undertones of yellow, orange, red, or green. Gray may have undertones of blue, green or purple. Can you see the difference?

A color consultant can correctly identify the undertones so they will be compatible. It is best not to mix them up in the same room or it can look odd. Hiring a color consultant ensures that your paint colors will work together with the rest of your home.

What happens during a color consultation?

Color consultant, Diane Stewart, takes the guesswork out of choosing paint colors. She will make home visits to assist you, and offers an objective viewpoint. She will bring fan decks with color chips, and will select colors by working collaboratively with you.

Diane specializes in balancing the many factors involved in choosing colors with your personal preferences. If you are remodeling, she can coordinate samples of your new materials with paint colors. This ensures it all works together from the start, and saves you time, money and energy.

Your home should be your sanctuary, a retreat from the outside world. If you would like an educated and experienced eye to help you choose colors – and want to feel good when you walk through your door –

Diane does not sell paint or furnishings; she is an independent paint color consultant. On-site consultations usually take one to three hours depending on the number of rooms involved, and are priced accordingly. Diane does not charge by the hour since she does not want you to feel pressured.
