In my search for simple yet sophisticated courtyard designs I found this courtyard garden designed by Topher Delaney for a home in San Francisco.
This very sleek design caught my eye because although it is an adult only space (maybe a bit too ‘kid unfriendly’ for my lifestyle) I am drawn to the beauty in its simplicity. Plus I loved the use of blue light to highlight the edge.
See a slide show of the Zen garden.
Interesting how the more immersed I get in my creative endeavors the more I desire uncomplicated and very clean surroundings. Do you ever feel the same?

Yes! Just yesterday I purged and got rid of so many things I once cherished. I looked at them yesterday as clutter and clogging not only my apartment but my creativity. Adios and I have no regrets.
To quote Adina from “Absolutely fabulous” I need surfaces!!

I love the quote.
I too had many things I once loved turn to clutter. Funny how our views change.
Someone once told me that when you lose your faith in people you put your faith in things. Luckily I have such wonderful people surrounding me that I need little else!

Not a garden for wearing a floaty long dress through! Nice to see they kept the beautiful tree with the stunning trunk.

You’re right Natasha. A filmy gown and a bit of breeze could spell disaster.
