In true “Carrie Bradshaw” fashion, actress Sarah Jessica Parker caused quite a stir as she strolled down the red carpet at last week’s London premier of her much anticipated “Sex and the City” movie.
Wearing an Alexander McQueen dress topped off with a surreal floral and peacock feathered hat designed by famed English milliner Philip Treacy, Ms. Parker appeared to be channeling her inner Isabella Blow.
Isabella Blow, fashion editor and muse of Philip Treacy, was as famous for her hats as she was for her work.
But before giving Sarah too much slack over her over-the top topper (just be glad you weren’t seated behind her in the theater), take a look at how many designers are putting as much attention into dressing your head as they are your bodies for the Fall. Will hats be the next “statement” accessory?

Alexander McQueen, who was discovered by the late Isabella Blow, set the stage for daring head-gear in his Fall 2008 collection

Hats also made a real statement on the Fall runways of Louis Vuitton, Ports 1961 and Erin Featherson

At Anna Sui, heads had a Pocahantas- meets -flower child feel

Heavy duty plumage at Ralph Lauren

Country girl-chic at Carolina Herrera and Burberry
Surreal as it gets at Donna Karan
I’m a huge fan of wearing “head gear”, hats, scarves, flowers, jewelry etc. on my noggin- so I’m loving this trend-
