The Walls of Berlin

Berlin is amazing – hip, vibrant, bohemian, sophisticated, artistic, musical, cultural and avant-garde, so great … I am running out of adjectives.Colors of Berlin The city still bears the marks of its forty year division into East and West. But like a phoenix, it is quite literally rising from the ashes of its tragic past.

Modernity threads by history, moving things along…on many levels: the city has become emblematic for its acceptance, permissiveness and tolerance.

Thank you Agi,

well, next I am going to Memphis TN, then New England but the trip I am really exited about is China in October!
Any advice on any of those destinations?

Your eye for choosing and photographing colors is amazing. More than just color inspiration, your essay is like a travelogue. Where will you be traveling next?

Thanks Corinne,

The flea market was in Prenzlauerberg - near the train station

Great post. Just wondering which flea market you went to?

The wonderful colors and an interesting juxtaposition of modern and classic make me want to book a ticket to Berlin.
