Start with a heaping helping of pure yellow gold, add a dollop of copper and a pinch of silver (to bring out the rosy glow), heat mixture till melted, stirring well. Let cool.
Viola…Rose gold!
The metallic trend is holding strong well into Spring but the gears are switching to put the emphasis on one hue in particular. Rose gold is the trend setting alloy and the metal of the moment.

During his Tuesday night State of the Union address, President George W. Bush wore a blue tie.
The President has often been seen wearing a light blue tie, but there seems to be a current trend for politicians who previously sported red for important appearances now choosing blue.
Whether consciously or unconsciously, perhaps they recognize that as concerns about the environment and world politics escalate, Americans are looking for the soothing colors of the earth - green, brown, and blue.

“When people wear soft, pastel colors, the message is one of approachability,” said Leatrice Eiseman , author of Color, Messages and Meanings and spokeswoman for the Pantone Color Institute. “It’s a completely different message from the red, power tie… .They are saying, ‘I’m really one with you.’ The pastel colors are not so much in your face.”
