I love discovering new beauty products. I especially love discovering products that make me feel just as good on the inside as they do on the outside. Oh and when “said” products also come in user friendly, beautiful hues- well basically at that point, I’m ecstatic!
I guess you could then call Peacekeeper Cause-metics a triple threat in my book.

We’ve already talked about how super bright colors will be lighting up your home and wardrobe this Spring…
Now these electrified shades, in colors with names like psychedelic coral, hot pop blue, Studio 54 and Chrome yellow will be making a splash in your cosmetic bag as well.

Even our favorite stars are looking a little brighter this year: Katherine Heigl took to the Oscar runway in a custom blended super bright coral lips, Avril Levine’s trademark pink streak made it’s way onto the Spring catwalk while who could forget Rhianna flashing a neon orange manicure when she took home her Grammy last month.
So say bye, bye beige and sianara to nudes…. bold neon inspired hues are here! (more…)

I was enjoying a pleasant moment this morning at one of my favorite coffee haunts when the violation occurred. In walks this otherwise attractive, well-dressed, older gentleman…with shoe polish black hair.
What was he thinking!?! He must be one of the men that has a difficult time believing that women find gray hair sexy.
I mean, what other reason could there be for him to have reached for the Grecian Formula to try to restore his once dark (but not that dark) hair color?
All he has to do is look around to see that women can’t seem to get enough of men gone gray. Look at CNN’s latest “It” boy Anderson Cooper, actor extraordinaire George Clooney, or even “American Idol” hopeful Taylor Hicks.
If that isn’t enough to convince a guy to stay with the gray, then at least he should have a good hair colorist work their magic on his mane so I can get back to enjoying my latte.

I remember the first time I bought OPI nail polish. It was a shade of coral that perfectly blended with my tanned skin and became an immediate “have to have” purchase.
OPI was still the “new kid” then, so it seems hard to believe that this year they are celebrating 25 years of bringing color to the world and that their business has grown across 75 countries and six continents.
For over two decades, OPI has offered glorious color and style, and their 25th anniversary collection continues in that tradition.
The colors are timeless, with a richness and diversity of style that will satisfy every fashion personality and will blend perfectly with this seasons fashion colors. Warm caramel, deep brown, rich reds, and the sophisticated mid-shades of straw, gray flannel, and moss green will all stand out aside brown.
Even luxurious metallics and jewel tones will make an appearance with brown this season.
A few of the colors are shown here, but for the complete offering and the always creative color names visit OPI.com.
Now the question is, should I try “Decades of Shades,” “OH…To Be 25 Again!” or “OP-I Love This Color” first?

Have you ever noticed that wearing a particular outfit makes you feel extra confident? Or that when you wear a blouse of a certain color you receive more complements because you look especially attractive in it?
Would you like to look in the mirror every day and see a reflection that says “I look and feel great”? More Alive With Color by Leatrice Eiseman reveals how to discover your personal colors and build your wardrobe around them so that you look and feel sensational, whether kicking back at home or kicking up your heels out on the town.
The Colortime system organizes colors by how they appear during different times of the day: at sunrise, at sunset, or in the sunlight at midday. Rather than dictate a particular set of hues as some other books do, Leatrice offers you a system to identify your best colors, allowing you to build a versatile wardrobe that reflects your taste and personal style.
Leatrice incorporates crossover colors that work across all palettes and shares tips on how you can wear a favorite color even if it doesn’t fall within your personal palette. The book includes removable pages for each color palette and the crossover color so that you can see how the colors work together and which makes it easy to choose new colors to add to your current wardrobe.
Best of all, Leatrice shares a wealth of information on putting color together and includes her guide for goof-proof combinations.
Once you have an understanding of your personal colors, Leatrice gives you the secrets to putting together a perfect look for any occasion. She also offers sound solutions for building a wardrobe and packing for a trip. One chapter offers practical advice especially for men, that any man will be able to use, regardless of his level of fashion sophistication.
Leatrice, who has assisted corporations worldwide to choose colors to communicate a particular brand or product message, distills her extensive knowledge into two information packed chapters that explain what the colors you wear say about you and how colors influence others. This information alone could change the way you think about what you wear.
This book is beautifully illustrated and Leatrice’s timeless wisdom takes the guess work out of selecting clothes, accessories, hair color, and cosmetics. Choosing colors that are flattering and communicate your personal style has never been easier or more enjoyable.
