What is it in our psyche that makes a fireworks display so very exciting? Is it the combination of explosive danger and burst of bright, beautiful color? Is it symbolic of human emotions…like a feeling of excitement so overwhelming you feel as though you might burst at the seams. Is it the tingly feeling of falling in love? Whatever the reason- one thing is for sure, it’s a thrill that never tires.
Since childhood my personal favorites are the ones that first explode in a flash of metallic light and then break into hundreds of little shimmery fireballs that appear to be falling as if in slow motion from the sky. There is something so poetic and mystical about them…to me they somehow seem to be off in a celestial world of their own. They would make the perfect inspiration for a glamorous room or absolutely timely for a chic, holiday-weekend ensemble.

WOW !!! I’m so glad I read this article now…I think I’m going to wear silver this July 4th instead of red, white, and blue. An ode to fireworks. Maybe just some fiery red nail polish. Thanks, as always, for a fresh look at color !
As usual, I love your blend of interiors and fashion. I think I’ll introduce the blue and green (already have the neutral) to my patio space. Already have a flowing blue dress (Old Navy!)
Thanks for the idea!
Love that gorgeous top. Isn’t that the colour of Pantone’s
Blue Iris?
