In a heated political race- even colors can be argued over! This seems to be the case over which party owns the right to use blue and which one is best represented by red on today’s electoral boards.
It’s been a shifting game over the past 30 years- when Republican Ronald Reagan won in 1980 the board was famously described as ‘a sea of blue’ and yet in 2000 George W. Bush’s campaign manager described the widely-debated boards as the ‘red states are getting redder, and the blue states are turning purple’ describing what he believed to be their inevitable win.
So are there good/bad connotations to which color represents your candidate today? It seems as if ‘red’ is something of a hot potato…. check out this interesting article from the NY Times today...and then of course GO VOTE!!!!!!!

Thanks for the fascinating post on the interpretation of blue and red inside the election.
