Pantone Fall 2009 color trend report

The kick off of New York fashion week excites me not only because I can’t wait to see what all of my favorite designers will have me dreaming of wearing 6 months down the road… but also because it’s the day Pantone releases their color trend report listing the hues that they believe will define the season. Entitled “A Study Of Contrasts”- It really is quite an interesting mix!

As usually the report is spectacular to look at and chock full of great color advice. ‘Color On A Budget’ seems to be the overall message- wow runway fashion and budget mentioned together…. what is the world coming to?

You can download the complete report HERE.

OHHH, the more I’m looking at this the more I really am loving this palette… what’d you think?

And my personal favorite color advice comes from the very young and in his own words ‘fierce’ designer Christian Sairiano who says ” Just wearing color helps you stay fashionable.  Color is always a trend and a great way to express yourself.  Color should never be substituted”….

‘Cheers’ Chrisian I couldn’t agree more!

Great colours, although I have a hard time wearing fall colours because I'm a summer and look the best in periwinkle blues, pinks and pastels. I looked all over for a soft pink sweater this season and finally found it at Benetton.
