Day 1 of a 3 day photo series. Starting with a glimpse of the new textile collections for Dedar and Creations Metaphores. Both reveal a 2010 trend for large scale prints, bold color pairings, denim blue, and neutrals that shimmer shimmer shimmer.

First I started off at the Dedar Showroom located at 20 Rue Bonaparte, just south of the Louvre.

Bold colors and prints jumped off the walls… these particular curtains were created to replicate a digital print. Look closely at the right curtain.

And just beyond those fabulous curtains, Caterina Fabrizio, co-owner of Dedar, was posing alongside her new 2010 collection for a photo shoot!

I love how Dedar paired lime green with hues of turquoise… a gorgeous color combo making a comeback in 2010. Turquoise just happens to be my favorite color!

More bold prints in delicious citrus shades are evident in Dedar’s collection. Top is Dedalus from 2009 Fall, and making its debut in 2010 is Bukara, bottom.
Bukara, in a different shade, and still stunning. Embroidery on fabric blend.

Yet another testament to bold color pairings and textures. If it isn’t turquoise with lime green silks, its hot pink and orange with royal blue velvets.

My eyes continued to pop when I saw the table of fabrics color coordinated in such I way that I yearn for summer!

This stunning red leather-like fabric comes in camel, cream and black.

Despite bold and electric colors making a grand entrance in 2010, the neutrals continued to wow, and shimmer all the way!

Closeup: Bottom textile is Orocolato, and top is Please in two colorways.

This is not part of the new 2010 collection, but I have never stopped loving these amazing tie backs, from the Dedar trim collection.

It was time to leave the Dedar showroom and stroll down the street… the architecture in Paris never ceases to amaze me. Every walk you take, and turn you make is part of history.

How can you not love the lime green with hues of turquoise. That combination is just brilliant! Also love the hot pink and orange with the blue velvet. Of course, let’s not forget those luscious, shimmering neutrals.
Moi aussi. I love being carried vicariously through Paris looking at beautiful objets et tissus!
