HOW TO WEAR IT
Find the best pastel for you.
Peach looks great on redheads, icy blue flatters blondes, and lavender complements brunettes, says Julie Hoylen, color expert at SensationalColor.com.
Give last year’s neutrals a new look with pastels.
Pale blue hues work with black, as well as olive green, dark brown and gray, Hoylen says.
Wear the right accessories.
Skip the black, and instead go for taupe, gray or metallic shoes or bags.
Try pastel makeup, too.
Light shadows play up the color and shape of eyes by making them look bigger, says makeup artist Jen Gaum of Glominerals.
