Happy Memorial Day! The perfect time to try on yet another fantastic summer trend, the pairing of navy, white and red.
This time honored color combination is being rediscovered from the runways of Chanel to the fabulous racks at Targets. Pair the colors with either stars or stripes motifs and you can take the look nautical, boho and even if you dare super hero fabulous!
Best part -your navy, red and white acquisitions of Spring can easily be paired with solid black everything come Fall. ( oh, you are so already way ahead of the trend! )

Chanel salutes stars and stripes while supermodel Agyness Deyn has her own spin on the trend off the runway
I love navy, red and white for summer- my go-to outfit ( worn yet again to kick off the holiday weekend on Friday night ):a navy and white striped French sailor shirt, white wide legged pants and red flats.
Though, just for fun- I thought I would do a little fantasy shopping on Net-a-Porter for a few new red, white and blue pieces that could easily find a happy home in my closet ( with a strong emphasis on the word fantasy, any reality purchases right now would be sure to result in a 21 gun salute volumed reaction from my husband!)

1.David Szeto New York top, 2.Chloe wide legged Sailor Jeans, 3.Graham&Spencer dip dyed skirt, 4.Marc Jacob’s patent sling-backs and 5.stripped jersey shopper bag, 6.Stella McCartney necklace, 7.Oscar de la Renta dress, 8.Roberto Cavelli Fringed Bracelet bag, 9.Tara Matthews Ombre Zig Zag dress, 10.Vivienne Westwood Anglomania shirt, 11.Tory Burch dress- all available from Net-a-Porter.com.

I LOVE the Chanel “Star” dress!! I’ve been a fan of red white and blue feels like forever- not that I’m overly patriot just think it looks mod and clean. I did some “fantasy” shopping today too.Poked around, looked at some things - getting ideas and what I can rummage from my closet that will duplicate what I liked out there. sadly I don’t have a slinky “Star” dress in there.
