Celebrating Memorial Day Weekend in high style is one tradition that I love. Like most, I suppose- the official start of Summer here in the United States just does something to my psyche. I happily eat the whole “Americana-ish” of the holiday up!
“Yes”, I admit I am that nerd who actually plans out a Red, White and Blue outfit and “Yes” I am also the neighbor who put little American flags in the planters around my house. What can I say- I can’t help it, I love a theme!
The sight of Red, White and Blue bunting, a potluck backyard BBQ, small town parades paying tribute to the men and women who have so bravely served our colorful country-the whole celebration really floats my patriotic boat.
Now don’t get me wrong, I admire and support good style and good deeds throughout every corner of this great big, beautiful globe -but for these special Summer weekends (add in the mix- July 4th and Labor Day) I can’t but help but be a bit of a True Blue/ 100% red-blooded Americanophile.
This past week I thought lots about what that means to me and of the charities and products that today strike me as timely, classic and full of the Holiday Spirit.
I hope wherever you happen to be in the world reading this today- you and your families are together– enjoying good health, peace and an abundance of inspiration as well!
