I know how you felt this past weekend, I too was praying for a rainy Sunday . . . alas, it did not happen here in Virginia. After a rainy Saturday night we had a beautiful, sunny day that made staying in the house under a blanket impossible. Doesn’t diminish my love of gray though – gray and pink, gray and yellow, gray and red, gray and every other color.

Gray is the new Brown that’s for sure! Great post! I have yet to discover a gray that is truly neutral and does not read either green or blue, but I think that’s the strip you posted!

    Hi
I know how you feel.. been praying for rain here too to wash away all the leftovers of our 2 red duststorms we have had in Sydney..and finally today… rain! All day.
I love grey [aussie spelling]and find it is perfect for me. Great neutral that can balance other colours [although sometimes limiting]. Have a great weekend. Julie [praying for no more red!]

I love gray too – I spend a lot of time in Belgium where it is gray 90% of the time – it has taught me to appreciate all its variations and its soothing properties.
My favorite grays – other then the ones found in nature – are the ones created from mixing complementary colors – green/red, yellow/purple etc. These mixes make a multitude of rich and beautiful grays – warm, cool, earth, elegant…
