Anyone that knows me knows I love pajamas! It’s the one part of my wardrobe ( besides shoes ) that I take super serious. Trends can come and go, styles can change over the seasons… but a good pair of pajamas ( like a great pair of shoes- or a great man, for that manner ) are worth their weight in gold.
I’ve always told my clients that in my mind a beautiful, comfy pair of PJs are as stress reducing as an hour at the gym or an hour on the therapist couch… they are a treat we can all afford to indulge in- and should!!!!
So when a great new pair came into my life recently ( In this case a set of Chandler Pajamas from the adorable website The Pepper Kids.com)…and with it being so close to Valentine’s Day- how can I not share the love with all of the leading ladies ( and all the leading ‘readers’) in my life!
Plus with 29 styles and colors to choose from- I can custom pick the pair that I think would be simply puuuurfect for each and every one of them!
P.s. they are a ‘free shipping’ item to boot!- take that downturned economy!!!!! ( Hey, I’m feeling better rested already. )
For myself, I picked the ‘Monica Pastel‘- I’m a sucker for paisley and I just loved the reds and sage-y blue greens together on a cream background.
And just so you know-I have lived in these babies over the past few weeks…. just ask my husband who commented only the other morning as I was wearing them for the umptenth’ time in a row blogging at my computer while sipping coffee at our kitchen table- ‘Wow, you really love those pajamas, don’t you’- ( i.e. get dressed and get a real job….oh well, that touchy subject may truly be for the therapist’s couch! )
For our own Kimberlin Brown… I choose this lovely ‘Victorian Floral‘… so pretty with her long golden hair and blue eyes- plus I think it’s old fashion appeal will fit it nicely with her collection of vintage nightgowns.
For Tammy who lives on the Chesapeake Bay- lucky girl!…’Charlotte- Green‘ fits the bill… the colors remind me of her serene house and the ever changing water and it’s grassy beach -just a stone’s throw away.
For fellow maven April Clark ( or Aunt April as she is known to my children) the ‘To The Max‘ print. Totally the colors of her NYC ‘Holly Go Lightly ‘ pad and totally as fun, energetic and wild as she! I think she could actually host one of her fabulous soirees wearing these!
For my color mentor and site’s grand poo-bah Kate- this “Serengeti- print“. I love anything these days with a bird motif but ultimately it was the colors that sold me as well…. in fact the background color looks so very similar to Kate’s signature color H2-AHH by Ellen Kennon paints…I’m hoping her blending into the walls of her at home office will give her the peace and time she needs to get all the million little things done that are shakin around here at Sensational Color!
For Pat the lovely ‘Canyon Iris‘… so fresh with her pretty green eyes and just the perfect shades of blue to keep it modern and serene ( just like her!). Plus the green perfectly matches the teapot I gave her for Xmas… I can just picture her now, in her new jammies..sipping Yerba Mata watching her DVR with a big smile on her face- truly the gifts that keep on giving!
For MaryLou, whose favorite color as long as I can remember has faithfully been brown- so ahead of her time! I love this ‘Patience- Brown‘ print for her with it’s accents of warm reds, pinks and blues… and as a mother of 6, I figure you have to go with the print with the word ‘patience’ in it.
For Kim M….” Lotus- Blue Green” .. perfect with her pale blue eyes and enough white to coordinate with her 2 West Highland Terriers that are so faithfully perched on her lap every night ( plus she will match Pat if they ever have a slumber party!)
For my favorite little fashionistas Hudson and Tierney- ‘Monica Red‘. Love, love the excitement that the purple brings to the bright red background… and of course since I love to ( or better yet ) attempt to make them my own little ‘mini me’s’ it doesn’t hurt that they are practically the mirror image of my own pair!
And for the newest girl in my clan… my friend Ana who shares my love of all things fashion and home… and was the first person who I’ve ever heard say ‘ You know, I’m sick of color… I’m sticking to my black, browns and whites”…I’m thinking the palette of this ‘Chelsea French‘ fabric is just the right mix of ‘new neutrals’ she loves (-plus she’s one of the few people I know that can actually ‘rock’ the color yellow.).. I have a feeling that one night in these will get her back on the track to ‘living in full color” once again!

Love the Serengeti print and you are right. It’s PERFECT for me and will look wonderful surrounded by my H2-Ahh! walls. It doesn’t get much more relaxing than being totally surrounded in MY color.
I love the choices you have made for each person as the colors are perfect for each of them too!
I love your blog and style. I was thrilled when I found Kate’s article “all about the color yellow.”
Very interesting how you put the analogy of prints and color to each person. They are all very beautiful and I love color It is so exciting when you have a client that isn’t afraid of color or mixing color and pattern.
Thanks Renee!
I’m glad you discovered us…I’m so pleased you liked the post I think it’s so fun to think about color on a very personal level.
Sometimes we tend to buy people gifts in the colors that we love ( I’m guilty as charged), when we really should be considering what would be the best colors for the recipient… or at least have a good story to go along with why we picked a particular color or color combination.
Looking forward to reading your blog…. I have much to learn about faux finishes!
Thanks for the gorgeous print…you know I have a fondness for both birds and toile. Am I to expect these in the mail soon ? I’m guilty of wearing almost threadbare yoga pants and concert tees to bed so a new lovely pair of PJs would be a ‘warm’ welcome.
Knowing most of your examples , I am constantly reminded of your talent for knowing peoples ‘TRUE COLORS’.
love these pj’s. I want some! I agree great pajamas are a luxury and one every girl should have!
Just re-read and realized my colors were the pink and orange and yellow. Definitely my color palette. These would look great as wall paper too ! Matches my Barbie / Austin Powers decor.
We soooo agree about pj’s!

Finally caught up with all of your posts . . . I love all of your choices for everyone, but I must admit I am very partial to “mine”. I will be going on the website to check everything out . . . Christmas will be easy this year, hope no one has ordered “theirs” already.
