Gucci goes lilac

Even in the hardest financial times it’s fun to oogle luxury- especially when said luxury involves a fun use of color.

In honor of their new boutique opening this month on the main floor of NYC’s Bergdorf Goodman, Gucci has created 15 exclusive handbags all incorporating Bergdorf’s signature color lilac in exotic skins like python, crocodile and ostrich. But the lovefest doesn’t end there- each bag also comes tagged with line “Gucci Loves Bergdorf” engraved in silver.

And if Gucci is able to rally a shopping frenzy this month ( the bags retail from $1,295 to $29,800 ) I’m sure Bergdorf will be chanting their love right back!

Meanwhile I’ll continue to chant ‘If I can’t pay cash, I can’t afford it”- but a girl can still dream!
