Hi Monica,

I'm glad you enjoyed all of the blue items. Isn't if funny how the things we grew up can still influence our choices as adults? I have heard many stories about why someone likes or dislikes a particular color and the reason often is rooted in a childhood memory.

Blue isn't always the easiest color to get right in a bathroom but it doesn't mean it can't work. I have one bathroom that is blue and I think the Venezulean Sea Blue sounds great. You'll have to let me post pictures on <a href="http://www.sensationalcolor.com/colorforyourhome rel="nofollow">Color For Your Home</a> Happy painting!

Kate-
I love all the beautiful examples of blue rooms you included in your post. You provide a great service for us readers; distilling all the magazine articles down to one read!

When we were teenagers, our mother decorated our entire house in blue. Every room was a shade of blue with a different accent. It has taken my sister and me 30 years to get back to blue!

I took the day off today to finish painting one of our bathrooms a deep ocean blue called Venezulean Sea. ( I know blue is not the best choice for a bathroom...but I love it!) Really makes my Navajo sand paintings and Hopi pottery sing.

Hi Emily,

I'm glad you enjoyed my post on blue. I know you'll find some fun ways to bring blue into your home. Accessories are a great place to start but I bet it won't be long before you're buying that French Blue paint for the kitchen. I'd love to see the results.

Best,
Kate

Love all that blue! I need to try to incorporate more blue accents into my home and I'm trying to get brave enough to paint my kitchen a deep french blue.
