  1. I once painted a desk in a coral/terrracotta tone which I absolutely love!

  2. What an amazingly comprehensive post. Color wheels, comparisons, elements. I love coral – the color. I think a touch of that orangey-rosy color is just exciting. I love to wear a dash of it in a scarf, use a coral throw and some minor accents in my home. I just think it’s a sensational color.

They have super cute vintage inspired jewelry! They have a lot of great cameo rings, necklaces, and cuffs!

  4. I just design a logo mark for a new client using the complimentary color palette of orange and aqua. His whole identity system has a fresh, contemporary tone and is absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to post it on my website!

Red by any other name, coral being one of them is a must in ever house I live in. The first thing I do is find the wall that is going to be an off shade of red and then it all falls together.

Great post. I love coral – the color and the motif. Thanks for the heads up on the sunscreen I had no idea it was killing the reefs.

I am a HUGE fan of the sea and coral.
Tracey Greene, a talented fabric designer working from one of the oldest remaining mills in the US, created an amazing coral motif. She made me gorgeous large pillows using the fabric and it has seriuosly made my apartment come alive!
As a jewelry designer I have been opposed to the use of real coral for many years. It is an endangered living organism that belongs in the ocean and not draped around our necks.
I have created a beautiful collection reminiscent of the shapes and colors of coral. I am debuting the collection with Sea Web and Tiffany’s ‘Too Precious To Wear’ campaign.
We can still show our love for coral from all the wonderful choices that Julie showed us so well.
