Naming colors is certainly fun…except when you are under the gun to come up with a great name on short notice…and make sure it is one that hasn’t been used before…and that it captures something you want to say about color…and is approved by the legal department.

Okay, so maybe it really is still fun and even more so when you can win a contest to name a color for a world recognized brand with a newsworthy vehicle. I’d love to know what our readers come up with…after the deadline for submission of course.

I’d like to forward this to all beauty companies because I think we could actually qualifiy for the naming of colors …now (then we were just liars, but creative) .

Lipstick and nail colors are actually memorable now…how about Chanel’s Vixen lipstick or Essie’s Ballet Slippers? In my company there’s a team of people who get to name a Handbag line or thread colors. We were certainly ahead of our time !

I’ve got a great name for the car…if I win- it will be revealed.

Oh, bummer, I’m not eligible because I’m not American. But I’m still going to think up some names for the colour anyway, just for fun

Yes, colour definitely plays a big part of a car purchase for me. Although if I found the perfect car and it only came in colours I didn’t like, I’d be able to look beyond the colour. When we bought our smart car 4 years ago, we actually paid more for it to be silver & blue. Now it’s silver & turquoise
