When you love a television show, the sets of the show are sometimes just as important as the characters.
This is the case for Carrie Bradshaw’s apartment from the HBO series “Sex and The City”. Everyone who watched the show came to know Carrie’s apartment as the perfect “pied a terre” for a single stylish woman living in the Big Apple.
It had a fantasy walk through closet that housed her equally fantastic wardrobe, a bathroom that most Manhattanites I know would kill for and the perfect sized kitchen for one.
So it’s no wonder that Carrie’s apartment makeover is getting a lot of attention now that the movie version of the series is now in theaters. Carrie has really done some growing up and some redecorating since we last saw here-the biggest change- the color of her walls and a more “glam-ed up decor”.
The walls in Carrie’s upper east side apartment went from being a celery green with a wash of lavender glaze to a more timely brilliant shade of electric blue, (Casa Sugar predicts Benjamin Moore’s Electric Blue is a close match ) meanwhile her “flea market finds” furniture have also been replaced by a set of sophisticated settees, drapes, built ins, mirrored tables, large white lamps and a flat screen t.v.
What a difference a four year hiatus makes! It kind of reminds me of Kate’s post on “Green going blue”. With blue being such a hot color in both home and fashion this year it makes perfect sense that production designer Jeremy Conway choose such a trendy color for everyone’s favorite small screen turned big screen fashionista!

What do you think of Carrie’s new digs? Would you dare to go bright blue in your own personal haven?
