Disney’s World of Color Debuts. Over the year Disney has done some remarkable things with color but they are touting their World of Color, scheduled to open in 2010 as a display of color like no other. The 18-minute arrangement of music, dancing fountains, lighting effects and movie projections according the LATimes, “…blends the nighttime spectacle of Disneyland’s Fantasmic and the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas…”
The new concept art was unveiled at the Blue Sky Cellar preview center for the World of Color and will be the first major addition of a $1.1-billion makeover planned for Disney’s California Adventure through 2012.
Rainbow Bright Pets. China is currently “pet-crazed” and owners are lavishing their furry friends in everything from jeweled collars to manicured nails. There also seems to be a surge in creative grooming and I just had to share a pic of this poodle that had been turned into a technicolor character.
Hydrangeas. This is the time of year when my favorite flowering shrub steals the show in the garden. I simply love the big pompom blossoms and the variety of the hues on the same plant. First introduced to England in 1736, the hydrangea is a beautiful plant that is so easy to care for and produces spectacular clusters of flowers in a variety of blue, pink, violet and white.
