Susan Sargent’s color sense is simple and playful. She is a fan of rich, vibrant colors and is not afraid to pair a hot pink chair with zebra print or lime green walls with brown furniture. 

 

A textile degree earned in Sweden and 15 years spent in a studio gaining hands-on experience as an artist, dyer and weaver laid the ground work for her vibrant folk traditions and the quality of her work today.

 

She prides herself on helping homeowners create a personal color palatte. In her book “The Comfort of Color” she encourages readers to experiment. Susan suggests finding a style and color scheme that compliments their personality by thinking about their likes and dislikes, hobbies, lifestyle and moods.

 

Even though our styles are quite different we are of like minds when it comes to the belief that color and mood go hand in hand when decorating your personal space.
