Here are a couple of things that reminded that there is a  whole world of colors beyond the calming colors of the walls of Sentara Heart Hospital.

The Cool Hunter didn’t disappoint.  They had a fabulous post called  “The Power of Color” with so many great pics that I scanned top to bottom, bottom to top, then top to bottom again.  Each time I noticed something new so then I just popped between pictures soaking up all the colorful goodness.  I’m feeling more like myself already.  The pic above is a little sneak peak but head over and check out the full post.

Then I saw came across this picture on Rick Bischoff’s blog so had to check it out what these lights were all about.
I learned that these light panels claim to– Heal Injuries 200% Faster, Aid to Carpal Tunnel , Stimulates the Release of ATP, Great for Knee Injuries, Joint, Shoulder and Back Injuries, Good for Diabetic Skin Ulcers, Good for Rosacea, Reduce Facial Wrinkles. Now, I can get pretty woo woo but do you really think that they do all they claim?

Should I give it a try and see if those wrinkle reducing claims are for real?   Not that I really have many wrinkles but I’m willing to believe that my furrowed brow and future crows feet are no match for the power of color. Now the colored light just needs to do the rest.

While it is fun to roam there really is no place like home and the same is true in cyberspace.  I really didn’t need to venture beyond my own “backyard” to find color and design to inspire me.  Julie always has such a clever take on all things color and design.  She has a bright and colorful soul that is the life blood of our Live in Full Color blog.

Just reading the post “Odegard And America’s Next Top Rug Designers” about her evening hobnobbing with none other than my long time design idol Jack Lenor Larsen, Mary McFadden, Stephen Burks, Stephanie Odegard, Michele Oka Doner, Holly Hotchner, David McFadden, and Calvin Tsao was enough to get my creative juices flowing again.

So much for coffee and cruising the web.  Just thinking about Jack Lenor Larsen has me heading off to grab my sketch book.  I think in my next life I might just be a textile designer.

Right now though I’m going to savor my Saturday just a bit longer with a pencil and paper rather than a keyboard.  I hope you have a sensational Saturday!
