Some of the highlights of the Color Marketing Group Fall 2008 International Conference. Clicking on the link will take you to the post I wrote about each event:
On Sunday morning, we had a fabulous keynote speaker Tricia Davidson of Duffy & Partners. She received rave reviews from the member and I wrote a post about her talk The Democratization of Design.
Sunday evenings dinner included a cocktail party and silent auction of original artwork and items donated by CMG members. Thanks to the generosity of the Color Marketing Group members attending the conference we raised over $4000 for our benefit nonprofit organization Publicolor.
Our Tuesday keynote speaker was Richard Tait, co-founder of famed board game Cranium and grand boomboom of BoomBoom Brands. He delivered the closing keynote address titled “10 Steps to Big Ideas That Win,” which left the members heading home totally inspired to create their own winning ideas.
The Saturday night networking was a thrilling time of mystery, suspense and murder. CMG members dressed to the hilt in 1920’s garb for an evening of spectacular debauchery and fun.
Denise Turner and I put a great deal of hard work into planning and running the conference.
So how wonderful that when we received the latest issue of CMG’s Color Chips magazine, our president Jack Bredenfoerder gave us a public shout out.
“Kate Smith and Denise Turner delivered an exceptional Conference that will long be remembered – extraordinary!”
Thanks Jack!
