Apple’s iPod Shuffle now comes in five colors. The colors are the same as for the 4GB iPod nano but the Shuffle has one fun addtion: ORANGE!
The color orange is often claimed as the favorite color of individuals who are adventurous and enthusiastic, work and play hard and have a great sense of humor. This fun color is a nice addition to the iPod Shuffle color offering. Check out the iPod Shuffle at the Apple.com.
I did notice while at the Apple store that they no longer list the colors by name but instead show the color which eliminates the need for an actual color name. Maybe someone from Apple read my comments about the boring iPod color name although it is more likely that they simply continue to improve and come up with simple and clean solutions for every aspect of the product experience.
Nicely done!

Another city uses color to support their home team as Indianapolis turns blue this weekend in support of the Colts as they take on the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game. The town seems to be taking blue to the extreme and Mayor Bart Peterson says downtown will be lit up in blue and some of the buildings downtown will be configured to resemble the sign of a horseshoe [the Colts logo]. Colts fans may be donning the color for the big game but certainly won’t be “singing the blues” if their team is victorious this weekend.

“Nintendo may have not invented the color white, or the dual-screen technology, but they sure are known for the two with their Nintendo DS. Mitsubishi’s latest phone for NTT Docomo (in Japan) shares a shocking resemblance to the Nintendo DS: white, dual-screen and the bottom screen being a touchscreen. Even more coincidental, the name of the phone is the D800iDS.”

Have you ever wondered how safe the the food being served really is in your favorite restaurant? If you’re dining in California’s Sacramento County you will soon be able to see how the county health inspector would answer that question before ever walking in the door.
Beginning today as soon as a health check is completed a colored placard will be placed in the window to indicate the health inspector’s assessment of the establishment. According to KCRA 3 News from Sacramento, CA the color system will let you know whether the business passed with virtually no problems, passed but has some problems or has been closed because it poses a health risk. The color system is not limited to restaurants, but also supermarkets, bakeries and school cafeterias will display the placards.
