It’s been a hot one this summer and soooo very busy. Are ya’ll feeling the same way?
The summer is going by so fast that today I just needed a little break from the hectic craziness, so I turned to white to calm me down. This is exactly how I’m feeling right now….ahhhh….white!

We have had a color packed summer so far, sea blues, grassy greens, berry brights, sunny yellows, but what about white? A staple of our summer attire and talked about during NY Fashion Week back in Feb as if it was making some sort of grand comeback. What? White? There’s no in or out for white, it’s always with us! Well, actually when it comes to white it’s often all about what you pair with it and this summer we’ve taken it back to casual with the classic look of white plus tan/khaki/taupe. This combo was a huge hit with both men’s and women’s fashions. I’m already feel cooler and way less stressed. How about you?

It just reminds me of the beach with a cool breeze and sand beneath my toes. Total relaxation and an escape from the intense summer sun. Not being bogged down by bright colors is the most refreshing feeling this combo creates, sure we add a few touches of color so the space doesn’t seem sterile or boring, but no matter what these rooms are truly soothing.
I am imagining beautiful sunrises and sunsets on this open airy patio.
This space has that beach cozy feel that I always love about Coastal Living. It’s one of those magazines I like to open when I need a little mini-vacation.
Wow, what a view! Fabulous furniture grouping and attention to scale with a little vintage feel.
Purple is a color not typically associated to a “seashell” inspired space but quite crisp and rejuvenating here.
A nice traditional twist on the white and khaki combo in a loft style space.
This child’s room is so dainty and clean. What a great way to display those fun colorful ribbons.
Getting a little closer to nature and natural materials this patio has so many beiges and tans, taupes and whites it’s too hard to count but just as the setting in the background shows they easily go together.
Fresh, frilly, and girly with a touch of mustard and salmon this room has a softness that would make it easy to cuddle up in the covers.
The proportion of cool and warm shows how balancing the temperature of colors can pay off. A little different look for Coastal but I’m loving this mod look.
Casual, simple, and all about white with wood. This room makes me really want a weekend away!
