Your front door is the focal point of the facade of your home so it important to think of it this way. Even though the front door occupies a relatively small area in relationship to the entire home, it can make a strong statement.
Don’t be timid or simply default to black or white for this important element of you home. Finding a color that works with your exterior and trim colors is a given but you will also want to find one that works well with the colors of any brick, stone, or shingles that are visible from the front of your home.
Warm welcoming shades of red, cranberry and burgundy often work well but don’t be afraid to get creative and use colors like Sherwin-Williams Eggplant or Valspar Montpelier Palmetto Green.
