Today’s color dilemma…
I have been searching for the special color “Tiffany blue” to paint my room. Does Tiffanys sell this anywhere? What is the best way to find the closest color to it? Thank you for your time –Malissa
Kate suggests…
Malissa the best way to find the closest color is to have that special person in your life buy something fabulous from Tiffany & Co. for you for no reason other than you deserve it. Once you can stop smiling long enough to say more than an ecstatic “thank you!” take the famous blue gfit box to the paint store and have them color match it for you.
Just in case you don’t have time to wait for your gift to arrive I found what I think is a close match for you at Benjamin Moore. Its a paint color called Tropicana Cabana 2048-50.
You will want to sample the actual color and make sure this matches that beautiful color vision you have in your head before putting it up on your walls.
I have a free special report that can help you to get your color right. “Sample Your Way to Paint Color Success: The Low Cost Way to Avoid Expensive Color Mistakes” Click here to get a copy

UPDATE:
Thanks to reader Erica I have learned that Shewin Williams SW6766 Mariner is the best match for Tiffany Blue. You can see her comments below.
Here’s a swatch of the color Erica recommends and it is available from either Sherwin Willaims or Duron.

I see that you suggested color matching from a bag or box from Tiffany & Co. You should know after weeks of scouring the net on the best “match” of Tiffany blue I found two articles that helped in my search. Unfortunately I was stupid and didn’t book mark them. However the first one I found was refering to the Panatone color chart in which Tiffany Blue is in fact a color and it’s number is 1837 coincidentally the sme years Tiffany & Company was established. IN the same article it clearly stated that the Tiffany Blue color is trademarked by Tiffany & Co. and is not to be duplicated as it is an infringement of this trademark. A little deterred I spent another few weeks searching for something somewhere that would reccomend paint colors that are even remotely close. I found one!
The second article I found was by two interior designers who spent a great deal of time comparing their color cards to Tiffany blue and found Sherwin Williams Mariner. I knew that colors look different on a computer screen so I was skeptical. Well today I went to my local Sherwin Williams and found Mariner. Looking at the sample card I was worried. I asked for a sample of the color, which turned out to be a quart. I just got home and painted it on an 11×14 canvas board. Let me just say the Mariner is DEAD ON!
I highly reccomend the Sherwin Williams Mariner. I have friends that have said to take the sample card to be matched some place else (i,e, Home Depot, Lowes, etc.) I am willing to got the extra expense at Sherwin Williams if there is any because I know that they have the exact recipe for the color.
I can’t wait to paint my room next weekend! I am doing Tiffany Blue (Marinier) on my walls, white trim and my accent colors will be black and white. I am in search of the perfect black chandelier as I am going for a breakfast at Tiffany’s theme. I have already found great pictures of Audrey Hepnurn that are back and white. Wish me luck!

Thanks Erica for taking the time to share what you found in your search for the perfect paint color match for Tiffany Blue.
I think the first article you found might have been one I wrote about Tiffany blue. I’m not familar with the other but if you find it again please send it my way.
I have updated my post based on your recommendation. Thanks!

Hello Kate,
My boyfriend and I are trying to complete our bathroom, the floor is in dark brown tile with chai tea wall tile color. After going crazy searching for Tiffany blue I wonder if this would be the best combo for a relax bathroom, what do you think?? Should I go for it and use Erica’s pick????
Look forward for feedback!
