In this case, I would put the TV over the fireplace. As long as its a flat screen it will be ok. This is done in many homes. Placement of the TV on the wall will take away from your beautiful view of the outside. So I would stick to your original layout. Good luck.

This looks great.I love the wall color, the wood floors(great with
dogs). I do like the idea of a area rug though. Her arrangement
of the furniture is good, I’m nervous about the TV above the fireplace, I don’t think it is a good idea. But not sure what I would
do. I would love to come over and see though.
