Today’s color dilemma…
Hi, I don’t have a lot of money so here is my problem. My bathroom has a granite counter top in sandstone. The floor is carpeted in dark blue. The bathroom is medium size but without much lighting. Thank you, Mary

When money is tight, paint is an excellent choice for changing the look of your home without spending a fortune.
Your room description indicates that there is not much light in this space, so you will want to avoid dark paint colors, as they tend to absorb more light than lighter colors.
For this space, I would chose a light creme color that will accent your granite top, and contrast with the flooring.
Try a color like Valspar ‘Woodrow Wilson Maize’ or a similar color that picks up some of the lighter shades in the granite but avoid going with one that tends to look grayed or dull as this may absorb the available light rather than reflect it.
This type of a color will look great against the dark blue on the floor and has the added benefit of being a color that is very flattering to most complexions making it a perfect background when you look in the bathroom mirror.
