Often a hot topic of discussion among product and color marketing experts, the name of a color can evoke strong emotions among buyers, so getting it ‘right’ is important.
“You can have the same color and give it two different names,” says Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “You can say ‘tan’ or you can say ‘cafe creme’, and that’s the delicious and evocative color.”
